New flier: Advocates endorse H+H proposal to change the way hospital charity care is allocated

Jan 24, 2019 | News

Medicaid Matters joins other consumer and community advocate groups and labor representatives to endorse a proposal by NYC Health and Hospitals to change the way New York State allocates hospital charity care funding.  This year’s Executive Budget fails to address this issue, so the Legislature must act to make sure safety net hospitals get their fair share of this funding.  Hospitals that fail to serve low-income people on Medicaid and people who are uninsured must no longer benefit from these public dollars.

Please refer to this flier for information and details on this issue, including the H+H Community proposal.
